A crime map is a map of individual incidents reported to police, usually placed at block level. Cities such as Vancouver, Victoria and Burnaby publish one; Kelowna currently does not. Private “crime score” websites that show Kelowna neighbourhoods are not official police data, and we do not use them.
What Kelowna does have is annual official data. The Crime Severity Index is Statistics Canada’s measure of the volume and seriousness of police-reported crime, set at 100 for Canada in 2006. Our Crime Severity Index explainer shows how to read it.
